Beautiful architecture, excellent service, phenomenal location, and the rooms were amazing. The staff were so friendly, and the facilities were top class. The staff were extremely skilful in their ability to balance their attentiveness with a relaxed atmosphere and respectful distance. Often misjudged by establishments in the UK and other countries we have visited; but definitely not with yourselves. We also have to add how we were taken with the astounding menu and quality of the food. We all enjoyed our meals enormously and it is great credit to yourselves that such cuisine was available without charging the earth. I must admit that I had so long looked forward to Haggis at breakfast again... Unfortunately, not all my family agreed but besides them, the breakfast in general was amazing. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to stay with yourselves again. This was our second visit after we were so impressed the first time, and we hope to see a third very soon. Everyone in town and all of yourselves made us feel very welcome; like we had 'come home'.

The staff were fantastic despite some difficult and needy guests. 1st - Arrogant man intimidating a female member of Staff to try get a discount for a steak, which had he looked at the website and listened to the patient Staff, he would have understood the rules and what an a-la-carte menu is and what was included in their deal. 2nd - Man at breakfast complaining that his table was wet, it had just been wiped by staff and was dry almost instantly after, he acted like a petulant child and was rude to the female member of Staff. The Staff were very kind, respectful and patient throughout our stay.

We loved the massive welcome we got from we think her name was Anne when we arrived. She was super friendly and with a huge smile. We hope you let her know that she did a good job, also your bar and restaurant staff was so accommodating also. I have worked in this industry previously and with all that has happened over the last 2 years, it is always a nice gesture to let your staff know that they do a good job, as I always think you get more from your staff with a good appraisal. Just love the location and the setting. Will be back on our next visit. Thanks again

Great service, lovely staff and brilliant facilities and it's not an ugly building without character. I used the swimming pool and sauna. Good breakfast. Lovely location on the hill - great views. (Though if you have bad knees you might better get a taxi all the way to the front door. The street at the front of the hotel has a short stretch of very steep incline.) At the back of the hotel there are lovely ways along the town wall and the castle is also closeby. Very central location but also very quiet. Very happy overall with my stay!

Excellent hotel, in notable old school building, for visiting the fascinating City of Stirling. First and foremost good car parking, although on busier days this might get full. The room was of a good size and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location is a short walk downhill for pubs and restaurants (suggest drink in No. 2 Baker Street, eating choices are varied,) and a short walk uphill to the Castle, which is a must. There's a swimming pool as well, though we ran out of time to try this. Overall To Be Recommended.
